The Smithfield Tract is located east of Route 721 (Newtown Road), 1.3 miles north of St. Stephens Church in King and Queen County. The sale area is approximately 40 acres in size and consists primarily of poplar and pine sawtimber. There are approximately 25 merchantable trees that are to be reserved and are not part of the sale, these trees are double banded with orange flagging.

The tract is being offered as a clearcut by sealed bid. Bids will be opened Thursday December 7th, at 10am at the office of Forest Resources Management. Bids should be marked: SEALED BID - Smithfield Tract
